Twin Cities Vegan Chef Collective – Open Market MN

A community-led mutual aid initiative hosting open markets and free community meals to provide groceries and nourishment outside profit-driven food systems. The program centers cooperative, regenerative, and dignity-based food access through regular in-person markets and shared meals in Saint Paul.

Vineyard Community Services

Runs the Fruit of the Vine Food Shelf, providing free groceries and basic needs support to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. Services include crisis food access, resource assistance, and a welcoming, dignity-centered shopping model through community and faith-based partnerships.

Merrick Community Services

A long-standing nonprofit offering a range of community support services, including employment and career assistance, family case management and referrals, a food shelf and Meals on Wheels, and resources to help individuals and families stabilize and build skills for independence.

Community Bridge

A nonprofit community organization offering free food access through a bimonthly food shelf, weekly community meals, holiday baskets, job training in food service, and volunteer opportunities. Programs focus on meeting basic needs and building community through shared food and skills.

Minneapolis Food Shelf

A community food shelf, supported by the Minneapolis Central Church of Christ, providing free groceries, diapers, hygiene products, and essential supplies to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity in Minneapolis. Services are offered in a welcoming, nonjudgmental space with a focus on dignity and access.

Little Kitchen Food Shelf

Little Kitchen Food Shelf is a no-boundaries, no-restrictions food shelf serving Northeast Minneapolis and beyond. Funded through Grace Lutheran Church they serve all people. In addition, they stock dog and cat food to feed the companion animals of those in need.

Community Emergency Service

A nonprofit organization providing food access to individuals and families facing economic hardship. Programs include a food shelf, food locker, meals-on-wheels, and ani-meals (food for pets).

Sharing and Caring Hands

A nonprofit organization providing free meals, groceries, clothing, bus tokens, and essential supplies to people experiencing poverty or homelessness. Services are offered daily with no cost or eligibility requirements, focusing on meeting immediate needs with dignity and respect.

Groveland Food Shelf

A community food shelf providing free groceries and essential household items to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. Services are offered with dignity and accessibility, often without income or documentation requirements, to support immediate nutritional needs.

The Bond Between

A nonprofit organization supporting people and their pets during times of crisis by providing pet food, veterinary care assistance, temporary foster placement, and resources for housing instability, domestic violence, hospitalization, or detention. The goal is to keep families and their animals together.
