A nonprofit organization providing free meals, groceries, clothing, bus tokens, and essential supplies to people experiencing poverty or homelessness. Services are offered daily with no cost or eligibility requirements, focusing on meeting immediate needs with dignity and respect.

Central Area Neighborhood and Development Organization (CANDO)

Their primary bodies of work include grassroots food justice organizing through their flagship program, Plant-Grow-Share (PGS), and anti-racist organizing through the South Central Minneapolis Antiracism Collective (SMAC). They partner with HOME Line to bring tenant organizing to the Central, Bryant, Powderhorn, and Bancroft neighborhoods—and beyond.

VEAP: Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People

Food pantry with on-site and mobile pantries, and deliveries. Serves 200k residents yearly. Also offers rental assistance programs (for Edina ONLY), and social services for “individuals, families, children, and seniors experiencing food insecurity, high-risk of eviction or homelessness, and financial crisis”. Volunteering opportunities available.

Neighborhood House

A long-standing nonprofit based in St. Paul that provides essential services and support to immigrants, refugees, and low-income families across the Twin Cities.
